Artist Statement

My art is an exploration of the natural world and the tactile beauty of fiber materials. I find deep satisfaction in creating bespoke pieces that infuse warmth and comfort into any space. Nature serves as my constant muse, guiding my creative process and providing endless inspiration.

My approach to fiber art is intuitive and spontaneous. I seldom begin with sketches, and even if I do, they often evolve as I work. I rely on my instincts and emotions to guide me through each piece. It's not uncommon for me to disassemble and reconstruct my work repeatedly, making each creation entirely unique and one-of-a-kind.

Currently, I am captivated by the concept of large-scale art. The thrill of seeing my creations fill a space is immensely gratifying. This scale allows me to immerse myself fully in my work, embracing imperfections that add character and individuality to each piece.

Weaving holds a special place in my heart; it's a meditative process that allows me to lose myself in the rhythm of creation. Additionally, I've recently discovered a passion for working with rope, crafting soft sculpture pieces that challenge my problem-solving skills. Completing a piece often feels like taking a deep, cleansing breath—a moment of profound satisfaction.

As an artist, I am committed to growth and embracing new challenges within the realm of fiber art. I approach each project with an open mind, eagerly saying yes to novel opportunities and expanding my creative horizons.

“Working with my hands to create a unique, bespoke piece of wall art is so satisfying.”
