I play with texture by sculpting an organically with rope, wool, leather, crystals or findings from nature.
A visceral story of the vast beauty beheld, and everything surrounding us. The work is a reflection of natural, perfectly planned chaos: gnarled oak bark softened by small shiny leaves, rugged rocks, cradled by young grasses, and a flowing creek. The earth thrives in its intricacies and inconsistencies. By using natural fiber and rope, the work has been created to manipulate and mirror, the juxtaposition of shapes and form, noting the nuances connecting nature’s totality. Each piece represents a unique interpretation of majesty of the canyon.
